The Mason Class

When we moved back to the Dallas area we knew we wanted to join the Newly Wed Class at Park Cities Baptist Church. The spring before we got married we attended the Nearly Wed class. While we were living in Fort Worth we both felt that we were lacking in fellowship with other married couples. Trent and I decided that this would be a great way to fill that void. I think this has been one of the best decisions we have made! We have met so many great couples and really enjoy our new friendships!

Wayne Mason leads the discussions every Sunday. The topics covered are about marriage and he brings up not only interesting topics, but topics that challenge you (finances, friendships, in-laws, intimacy, divorce etc.). The way the class is designed you stay in it for one year and then move into another class with other young married couples. We also have socials every month. The socials range from game nights, lunches, dinners and retreats. There are also supper club groups that change every two months. This is a great way to get to know other members in the class. Trent and I also joined the softball team in the spring! This is where we have met most of our closest friends in the class. We are really fortunate to have found this great class. We enjoy going to church every week and we also love hanging out with our new friends often!

Wayne has read over a 100 books (secular and Christian)
about marriage in order to prepare himself to teach this class.

This social was in February.
We played the Newly Wed game...

That's right... yours truly won the Newly Wed Game!
