The past week has been crazy! Becoming puppy parents have completely changed our lives! Let me first preface by saying we absolutely love Rex and wouldn't trade anything for him! Our lives now including: walking down 4 flights of stairs every couple of hours carrying our baby puppy out to go potty, shutting doors to keep Rex out of shoes, gadgets, hurrying home from outings so Rex doesn't have an accident in his crate, waking up at all hours to take a crying dog out to go potty, constantly monitoring the puppy or else you end up searching under everything looking for him and cleaning up potty in Rex's crate!
Here are a few things that have gone on since we brought Rex home.
Rex's first weekend we went to the lake with 6 other couples. Our friends loved Rex! Luckily we had a bedroom downstairs away from our friends so that they didn't hear Rex barking during the night.

Trent and Rex both wiped out after a long day in the sun.

Rex was having a hard time sleeping through the night.
Trent's dad suggested that we make Rex a little den.
Rex loves his den, even though it's girly colors... give me a break, it's all I had!

Rex had his first swim... he's really not too
sure what to think about the pool.

Unfortunately, Rex has had some stomach issues. We thought we had resolved it and then it started again. Trent and I think happened because we gave him some frozen peanut butter to keep him occupied. Rex was waking up at all hours of the night... at 4:30am we decided that we can't live this way anymore... So... This morning Trent took Rex to the vet and got some medicine to help all three of us sleep :)

Rex is now almost 9 weeks old and weighs 16 lbs. We have been practicing his name recognition and continuing to work on potty training. He's really close to being completely potty trained, minus the tummy problems we have been experiencing. We love being with Rex and are so excited that he is apart of our family :)
