After working hard at our very successful garage sale on Friday and Saturday, we decided to spend the 4th of July just relaxing and spending quality time together.
Saturday night we went to the FC Dallas soccer game with another couple from our Sunday School class. We sat in the rain for the entire game, but it was well worth the amazing fireworks we saw when the game ended!
On Sunday we enjoyed the following:
Sitting by the pool.
Swimming in the pool.
Eating hot dogs with my mom :)
(I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to my 4th of July hot dog!)
Oh yes, not to forget the amazing homemade ice cream!!
We ended the day by meeting up with some friends
from church to watch some fireworks!
The Fourth of July weekend was great! Watching the fireworks, eating hot dogs, and swimming always brings us back to our childhood. The Fourth is always a great time to remember the liberty and freedom that our forefathers wanted for this land. And how we should always strive to be, "The land of the free and the home of the brave".
