It's hard to believe that it is already October! You know it's fall when you walk into stores and see Christmas decorations out. This really upsets me, especially when I talk Trent into going into Homegoods with me to find a few little fall decorations.... to say the least... there was none.
We are really enjoying the fall season! Fall means football (not to mention Texas Rangers baseball this year), cooler weather and of course fall decore! Here is how we see fall.
At School:

School has been great! My students have been learning about trees, a topic that is studied throughout the year. We began talking about what trees look like in the fall and I decided we should have our own "fall tree" in our classroom. The students LOVED cutting out leaves (some look better than others, but hey, they loved it!).
At Home:

These are my decorative vases that sit on our coffee table. I learned from my good friend McKenna and her mom how to use the vases for each season. This is such an easy way to decorate. It adds a nice touch to small spaces and it's really fun coming up with new things to place inside the vases!

Not only does our loft look like fall, it also smells like it! Trent and I love candles!! We couldn't decide on one so we bought three.... they were on sale :)
Our family:

Trent and I are officially an aunt and uncle. We have been so excited to welcome our new nephew into the world!
Rex:

Rex is really enjoying fall too! His new favorite hobby is the stand at our window and watch the people and cars below. He will literally stand there for 20 minutes just watching. Trent says he gets the people watching from me... I can't really argue :)

Fall also means lots of time outside. Rex loves playing outside! When we come back inside Rex will then rest. He knows we don't allow him on the couch, but he is a little sneaker. He thinks just because his feet are planted on the floor he is not actually sitting on the couch. Rex kind of looks like a little person when he sits like this!!
This week we have other fall activities planned! We will be taking our annual visit to the State Fair of Texas. We are really excited to share this experience with our good friends the Collins, they have never been before! We are also gearing up for our triathlon on October 24!
