Oh Christmas Tree

We were really excited to put up our Christmas tree! We had always talked about getting a real tree but decided we could probably save money each year if we just got a fake tree. Since we decided to not get a real tree we decided we needed a BIG tree!! Our loft has a 15 foot ceiling and can definitely fit a 9 foot tree... therefore we did it.... we got a 9 foot tree last year!

With our new addition to our home we decided we needed to slowly expose Rex to the tree. Being newly weds we treasure all of our ornaments (the few that we have). We also have some very nice and sentimental ornaments that we would be crushed if they fell and broke! We set our tree up without ornaments. Rex would sniff it and lick the branches (he's a curious little thing!). Our tree was kind of sad looking without the decorations. After a week or two we decided it was time to put on the ornaments. We started with just 2 and on Saturday we decided it was time!

Our tree looks much happier with the decorations, however the bottom of the tree is still sad. We didn't want to put any ornaments in "tail range" so we left the bottom empty.

Here are a few pictures of our tree and a few of our favorite ornaments.

Rex really does enjoy the tree!

I really love this ornament! It's a Chi Omega Owl!
It actually fell off the tree last year and yes, I cried!
Thanks mom for the replacement!

Rex even has his own ornament. He loves it :)

While we were in Italy this summer we found this handmade ornament in Sienna. We will always enjoy getting this ornament out each year. It brings back so many fun memories from our trip!

Before we got married Trent and I were given the name "Trolly."

A precious wedding ornament from my mom!

Looking up at the tree

Our Christmas tree with ornaments!!
As you can see we need to finish up our present wrapping/ shopping
