Joovy's Foocot

Disclaimer: I received this product free of charge in exchange for an honest review.

I don't usually blog about products unless I really LOVE them. As you know we travel a good amount with Trent's race schedule and since Jonah is only 18 months old we still travel with our pack n' play. Trent and I were having a conversation about traveling next race season and how Jonah will more than likely be sleeping in a bed. We will no longer need a pack n' play. This isn't difficult if we stay in a hotel but sometimes we stay with family or friends who don't always have two extra beds. That leaves the question of where will Jonah sleep.

That problem is easily solved with Joovy's Foocot. The Foocot was designed as a cot for kids (up to 48 inches and 75 pounds). It comes with a fitted sheet (100% cotton) and you can purchase a mattress pad if you desire ($39.99). The pad is not necessary but will help protect the cot in case of an accident! The cot is low to the ground and I don't have to worry about Jonah falling far if we rolls off. It has 2 pockets on either side which is perfect for a flashlight, sippy cup or book. The cot is made of nylon and reminds me of the nylon yard chairs that fold up into a bag. Low and behold this cot also folds up into a bag that has a strap for easy carrying. The cot only weighs 6.61 pounds and is super light! It doesn't take up a lot of room and will be easy to pack in the car along with all of Trent's race gear, the stroller, suitcases etc. I can also in-vision us using the cot if we have guests staying at our house!

How does Jonah like it? He LOVES it! As I mentioned above he still sleeps in a crib and hasn't slept on the cot (yet), but he thinks the cot is so fun. When I first opened it he climbed right on top and laid down. It's like he knew exactly what it was made for! Jonah will lay on it and pretend to snore. He looks super comfy and content. When I was taking pictures to post on the blog I folded the cot up and he began to cry… so to say the least… he thinks it's awesome! We do have some neighbors who have one and their two and a half year old daughter loves taking naps on it.

Jonah's first experience on the cot!

If you can't tell by my post we are loving Joovy's Foocot! If you are a big traveler with a small child or you have lots of house guests with kids the Foocot could be the perfect solution for your sleeping arrangement.  The Foocot cost $69.99 and I think it's totally worth it for our lifestyle and the amount of traveling that we do as a family. If you don't see yourself using it much then it may not be worth the cost.
